Just found a great video for you. In it a guy named Derek describes how dogs are very social animals and although jumping is a sign of affection most times, it can become annoying to often, espceically when your friends and family come to visit. In this video Derek will show you how to stop dog jumping by gently squuezing his paws. I haven't yet tested this method myself but I can see how this may be another effective technique to add to the list.
Note: All dog obedience training methods are used to prevent unwated behaviour from your dog. Never intentionally hurt your dog to get your point across.
