Doberman Training & Dealing With Doberman Aggression

Among the many varieties of dogs around, the Doberman is hands down one of the most intelligent among man’s best friends. Historically, this canine breed has been created to be a watchdog and has been used throughout history for this purpose, as well as being a good old dog to have around the house. The Doberman is a pushy dog

Dobermans also evolve throughout their ages.

This is why a young Doberman can be fun and social and playful, and yet can develop to be a very aggressive dog, or a very quiet one that likes to retreat at corners to think by itself. While at first glance a Doberman might inspire fear and terror, you should also be aware that a well cared for and a well trained Doberman can actually be so socially helpful that many actually use the Doberman as a therapy dog. Early starts are the best. When it comes to the Dobermans, you should never procrastinate with the training process precisely because they are intelligent and pushy dogs. When allowed to have their way, they can become quite hard-headed, so the training process should start as early as possible.

Never use physical violence to tame your dog

The Doberman can tell what you are doing, and can tell when what you are doing is something that is harmful to it. When you injure the Doberman or use violence on it for training, it will only react negatively to you and begin to grow apart from you. This can become especially difficult because once the Doberman has made up its mind to consider you the enemy, the effects are not only bad – such as aggressiveness and such – but the effects are also far- reaching. There are few things that are as worse as having an angry and unfriendly Doberman as a friend. Especially when you know that given the right conditions and given the correct treatment, your Doberman can actually make for a wonderful friend.

When training your Doberman, do not use nonsense

Excess ridiculous actions will not win your Doberman’s heart and will instead only make it turn away from you. Instead, one of the best training techniques for Dobermans is to use a few good exercises to train it and reward the dog with a good treat, and that will be fine and all that is necessary for the dog.
